Join an Adnyamathanha cultural guide to see age-old rock engravings.

Join an Adnyamathanha cultural guide from Bookabee Tours to see age-old rock engravings. Walk in the footsteps of Adnyamathanha, and learn about the culture of Adnyamathanha people of the area through cultural interpretations and stories.

Accessibility
10 min walk along creek bed to art site and short section over rocks. The walk along the creek bed is an uneven surface with tripping hazards. This event is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Location:
Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park - Meet at start of Sacred Canyon Road, near the intersection with Flinders Ranges Way. 

*The group will then travel in convey (in your own vehicle) to the site. Sacred Canyon road is unsealed, but is suitable for 2WD vehicles with high-clearance in dry conditions.


IMPORTANT:

  • NPWS aims to provide inclusive events and activities for all, however some of our events do have specific requirements for participants. Please see the activity description and accessibility information to check if the event is suitable for you. If you require additional support to participate in the activity, please contact dew.parkofthemonth@sa.gov.au in advance.
  • This event will be postponed or cancelled in the event of unsuitable weather conditions or a total fire ban being declared in the Flinders Fire Ban District.
  • Vehicle entry to the park is free for registered attendees. You will however need to provide your vehicle registration plate number when completing checkout.
  • The group will then travel in convey (in your own vehicle) to the site. Sacred Canyon road is unsealed, but is suitable for 2WD vehicles with high-clearance in dry conditions.
